Free Repair Service? What’s That?

As part of my YouTube channel promotion, I’m currently offering to fix your broken C64 for FREE.

Is it really free?

Yes, All labor to fix your C64 is 100% free. You are responsible for shipping charges and any costs associated with replacing parts.

Do you also offer this service for other systems?

Yes, the other systems supported for the free repair service are the Commodore 128, Commodore 16 and Commodore Plus / 4

Do you also service other systems?

Yes, I service a full range of systems including various retro computers and gaming systems. Way too many to list here. If it exists, you can bet that I’d be happy to fix it for you. Most systems are eligible for a FREE diagnostic (up to 1 hour) anything past that and you’ll be notified. Your cost will be shipping to and from my location.

How does it work?

You start by filling out the form below, once completed I will be notified. I’ll evaluate your submission and either approve or deny your request. If approved, you’ll receive shipping instructions along with any other info you might need. The process after that is pretty simple. You ship your equipment to me, I troubleshoot just like I do in the YouTube videos and if I find that a specific part needs to be replaced, I’ll contact you first to get your approval. I have most parts on hand because I build replacements myself. The parts of course are not originals and include The ROM chips (Basic, Kernel, Character), the PLA and SID chip. If any other chips are faulty, they will be replaced with originals. Upon request, I can supply original ROMS, PLA and SID chips but those come at a higher cost.

Will you create a video of my repair and post it on YouTube?

Depending on volume and what all I have going on and generally just how much time I have available will determine if a video will be recorded and if it will be put up on YouTube. If I record a video and don’t upload to YouTube I may still share it with you if you’re interested.

Are you ready to get started? Let’s do it!
